CodeValue Technologies is happy to share that Microsoft has announced the release notes for its Business Applications for the period October 2018 to March 2019. This release notes contain all new and updated features of this release which has momentous capabilities that could enable to transform the business to the next level.

If you could notice well, you could see that there is a small but remarkable difference that Microsoft is no longer calling it “Dynamics 365 Release Notes” but “Business Applications Release Notes”.

The new services and the capabilities would be in public preview as of October 2018. In many ways, the October 2018 release marks the beginning of a new era for Microsoft Business Applications. It is an epic release on many dimensions.

The October 2018 update includes more than a hundred incremental updates to the core Dynamics Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Field Service, Project Service, Portals, Omni-channel Engagement Hub, Social Engagement, Finance and Operations, Talent, Retail, and Business Central products and services.

Connecting the Microsoft Cloud with Dynamics 365, Power BI and PowerApps creates an unmatched opportunity for digital transformation. In other words, Dynamics 365, Power BI, PowerApps, Microsoft Flow and Excel are powering major transformations around the globe.

While Microsoft is tremendously progressing to unify the Business Applications like marketing, sales, service, operations, finance, talent and retail offerings, they continually work more tightly to integrate Dynamics 365 with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, LinkedIn, Stream, Azure, Azure IoT Central, and Outlook.

The October 2018 release has the following features but is not limited to:
• Integration between Dynamics 365 Sales with Teams
• LinkedIn InMail relationship analytics and predictive lead scoring
• Integration between Microsoft Teams and Dynamics 365 for Sales
• Deeper integration between LinkedIn and Dynamics 365 for Marketing
• Skype and Microsoft Stream and Dynamics 365 for Talent

The new Dynamics 365 AI for Sales app, would help sales teams use technologies, such as call sentiment analysis and warnings about deals being at risk, to take proactive actions.

Microsoft is also continuing to advance its updated Common Data Service, which is part of its “Power Platform”. They emphasize the applicability of its HoloLens augmented reality goggles with the business applications. Microsoft’s new hands-free video calling named “Remote Assist” and Microsoft Layout allows space planners to design their spaces.
